Suicide in the LGBT Community:
Research and Health Care Perspectives 2009

Next Tuesday The Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Institute (SOGI) in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will present a forum on current research and clinical perspectives on suicide in the LGBT community.
Researchers will discuss their work on suicidality, focusing on youth and women in our community. Health care providers and public health officials will provide commentary on the research, and share observations from their work with LGBT youth, older adults and suicide survivors. Community participants will have the opportunity to dialogue with the presenters and provide their perspectives.

This event will be held in the Hoover-Leppen Theater at the Center on Halsted. It is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
