You-Are-Loved Chalk Message Project

I want to follow up my previous post (Countering LGBT Hate with Messages of Love)about the 1st Annual Nationwide You-Are-Loved Chalk Message Project, which took place on October 5th.

Dreams Untitled did a great job of organizing this. I hope it will continue and grow in the years to come.

Here are some pictures Dreams Untitled is sharing at their site. I’d love to hear from anyone who took part or witnessed these messages of love.

from Florida:

LGBT youth (and adults) continue to be targeted for bullying and discrimination in ways that have profound and lasting negative effects. Countering the negative with messages of love and acceptance is a step in the right direction.

    LOVE this!

Oh hey! Did you see this? I saw some chalk love!

And when I walked back to my car the next morning, I noticed there were some explicit love notes to LGBT folks. LOVE IT!
