About Dr. Young

Dr. Young is a licensed clinical psychologist in Tucson, Arizona with over 30 years of experience. She incorporates aspects of psychodynamic, relational, and dialectical behavior therapy into her approach to psychotherapy. Her career focus has been on treating trauma and its aftermath.

She is also an EMDR trained therapist and has expertise in providing many evidence-based therapies. She has treated trauma in a variety of settings: as a VA Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator, at the Oasis Program Against Sexual Assault & Relationship Violence at the University of Arizona, and in Chicago via a program dedicated to providing education about and treatment for intimate partner, interpersonal and community violence in LGBTQ communities.

Dr. Young received her doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 1990. She is licensed in Arizona and Illinois.
